“What do young professionals want?” Survey

The annual survey is the only instrument of external perception measuring the attractiveness of an employer brand and the trends in the professional expectations of the young professionals in Romania.


Talent is the competitive advantage hardest to be replicated. But in order to attract and retain talented young individuals we have to understand their changing needs and expectations.

 

Each year we organize the survey – “What do young professionals want?”. It is a statistical instrument which monitors the image that companies have as employers on the market and also the expectations that young people have concerning their professional life and their employers.

 

At the same time, the survey is an instrument rating the companies’ attractiveness as employers compared to other competitors in the industry.

 

General Insights

  • A Top ranking the most wanted employers – a general ranking and industry rankings;
  • Criteria used in assessing the attractiveness of employers;
  • The attitude towards the professional life;
  • Each industry’s attractiveness and the criteria which determine it;
  • Salary expectations and potentially attractive benefits.

 

Specific Insights:

  • The way a company is perceived by potential employees;
  • The company’s perception of the industry and of different competitors;
  • Observing the results of the previous image campaign developed;
  • The criteria which should be used in developing the employer brand.

 

Targeted industries: Banking, Telecom, Pharma, Consultancy, Industry, IT&C, Constructions, Personal& Home Care, Food& Beverages, Beer.

 

The sample group is made of 1000 respondents, between 20 and 30 years old, and is representative at a national level. Insight is obtained for more than 100 companies, the main competitors of the 9 industries we studied.

 

“What do young professionals want?” is a survey organized in partnership with Daedalus Consulting. The results of the study are discussed every year with human resources managers in a workshop organized.
