Who are the Most Desired Employers in 2024? Microsoft, Google, Continental, Oracle, and Bosch Romania are the top 5 companies nominated in the top list.

Catalyst Solutions announces the results of the Most Desired Employers Study, conducted from November 2023 to April 2024 on a sample of 10,981 early-career professionals and professionals from Romania, in the fields of IT&C, Engineering, Social Sciences, and Business. The study is the most comprehensive tool measuring the level of employer attractiveness at a national level and provides a complete understanding of candidate behavior and their expectations regarding local employers. The study results have been launched at the regional employer branding conference, EBcon 2024, on May 14th.

For the 19th consecutive year, the Most Desired Employers study was conducted nationally, based on 10,981 unaided responses from respondents. The Top 100 Most Desired Employers is a ranking based on unaided responses to the question: ‘What are the top 5 employers you want to work for?’ The organization’s size, geographic distribution, or diversity of roles offered by an organization can be some of the aspects contributing to the high number of nominations as the most desired employer.

Launched for the first time this year is the Top New Entry, a ranking of companies that are featured for the first time in the Top 100 Most Desired Employers. The Top New Entry includes companies that stood out in 2024, organizations that managed to attract attention through management practices, organizational culture, or benefits offered to employees, positioning themselves as a top employer in Romania.

In addition to the Top Most Desired Employers, the study results also provide valuable information for HR and EB professionals regarding the opinions and behaviors of current candidates in the labor market. For example, the criteria that form the basis of the decision in choosing the desired employer. For the third consecutive year, the main criterion chosen by respondents is an attractive salary package. In 2024, respondents mentioned the balance between professional and personal life at a rate of 71% compared to 44% last year. Thus, the friendly and relaxing work atmosphere is more appreciated this year (65% compared to 45% last year).

The collected data is processed and organized into differentiated reports according to the candidates’ interest in certain industries, academic background, and level of experience. The types of reports available are: Business, Engineering, IT&C, Retail, FMCG, BPO.
