Employer Branding in Times of Coronavirus is More Important Than Ever

April 6th, 2020

Currently, the coronavirus pandemic affects every area of the business, and when business is people the situation gets really serious. Cancellation of job fairs, more or less formal industry meetings, closed universities and inability to organize any kind of events – these are some of the challenges that employer branding is facing for the first time.

In the context of the Romanian EB calendar, the coronavirus caught us at the worst possible moment. It is in spring that the EB initiatives on the campuses are sprouting and the career fair season begins, which for many companies is the most important manifestation of activity in the academic environment.

Time to think ahead

Despite much of the world in lockdown businesses need to go on. While every company will be affected differently, many of you will continue to recruit the talent that your company needs now and will need after we all get through this. Is also likely that some companies will become more aggressive in poaching candidates.

Finding proactive solutions to attract talents without the use of traditional offline tools will be an all-hands-on-deck challenge for talent acquisition professionals.

As we all know, the COVID-19 outbreak is disrupting several layers of the talent acquisition and recruitment industry. It’s affecting how we implement recruitment marketing strategies, how we work and more. This means that many recruitment industry events are now being cancelled, postponed or moved to online platforms.

Therefore adapting to the situation by going online is the only way to build on your brand awareness and consolidate on why you should be taken into consideration as a potential employer in Romania.

Here’s a list of the employer branding and recruitment events at Catalyst being moved to the online environment:
